We all experience stress at various times in our lives and that is why it’s important to have tools for stress relief.

Unfortunately, we are living in a time when stress has become chronic, and that affects our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

We all perceive stress differently, and if we are already in a bad mood, a small thing may turn into a lot of unnecessary drama.

Case in point: If you are having a bad day and you aren’t in a good headspace, and you happen to notice that there is a small scratch on your car, you can imagine how that could set you off, right?

Your mind starts thinking, “Who did this?” “I can’t afford to fix this?” “Why do these things happen to me?”

And the rest of your day is ruined.

Take that same situation when you are in a positive mood, feeling great.

Now your mind is saying “I guess I’ll have to buff that out, no big deal.” And you carry on with your day.

When we are in this calm state, it can be easier for us to “Not sweat the small stuff,” which improves our outlook and quality of life.
